Ed, Pam and Family... My thoughts were with you today. Last night I watched the movie A Company of Soldiers and it served as a reminder of what our brave heroes are doing for our country. Take care my friend, you know I'm here for you. May God continue to bless you and your family... Steve

I took my family to DC last weekend, and when we stopped in the women's memorial at Arlington National Cemetery, they had a display titled "Faces of the Fallen." JP's hand painted portrait of his academy photo was there, along with one of Ronnie and LtCol Shea. We also see photos of JP and Ronnie at the Hawk at TBS. The heroic actions of those gone before us will always inspire us to continue to fight. We will never forget. Semper Fi- Marc Giorgi

I am thinking of JP and his heroism every day - and especially on Memorial Day. I am also thinking and praying for the Blecksmiths always. I miss ya Jaeps.

I live in La Canada where Lt. Blecksmith went to school. His memory will be honored each year on Memorial Day as I am Co-Chairman of the La Canada Memorial Day Service. A plaaque which bears his name is in an honored position in our Memorial Park.
I too was a Marine Officer and served in the same Battalion and regiment as Lt. Blecksmith.

I was reading the PrepTalk and found the article about JP and the NCIS cast. My son, Christopher Smith, also attended Prep and was a classmate of JP's. I was with Chris in Boulder when we learned of JP's passing. My heart and prayers have been with you and yours every since.

I have learned all about JP from my father, John Thrasher. He was a great man and even though he will be greatly missed, he will live on forever. This is a wonderful site and I am glad to see that his story is reaching all around the world.

I too am a NCIS fan and saw Mark Harmon's wearing your son's memorial T-shirt. I have spent the last hour looking through this web site. I don't know what to say about your loss.
Maybe this can sum up my graditude.
I hope that I can raise my two son's to half the men your son JP was and is.
I can not think of a finer person to be one of God's warriors.
May God Bless You and Your Family

Like an earlier signee, I learned of JPs death after watching Mark Harmon in NCIS. 11th November every year is an important date in the UK. I have never lost any one in the military but this year when I stand at my works Rememberance memorial, for our poppy wreath laying ceremony it will have a meaning. "I will remember him". I would also like to wear the memorial T-shirt, but am not sure if you would ship it to the UK.

I learned of the bravery of J.P. because of a memorial T-shirt worn by actor Mark Harmon on an episode of NCIS. My family is grateful for the dedication and sacrifices of our men and women in uniform. J.P. sounds like an outstanding young man and a excellant example of our uniformed service personnel.

Blecksmith Family,
Greetings from TBS down here in lovely Quantico, Virginia. I just wanted to take a minute and sign your guest book to let you know you have been on my mind lately. Every day I'm here, I pass the wall of honor in O'Bannon Hall right outside the Hawk and I see JP's picture. You are all constantly in the thoughts and prayers of the Stahl family.
