Great website!! My father George Goodwin was #20 in the program and had the 5th highest mileage. I was at college at RPI in Troy NY in April 1964 when Dad and Mom got the car in Denver. However, Dad drove the car back to Troy to pick me up from school. After stunning the engineering students and professors with the car, he let me drive it back to Denver. Amazing trip! The car was a highlight in the lives of my folks, both gone now. I have their scrapbook. Great memories with newspaper articles, pictures, letters to and from Chrysler, fuel receipts and so forth. Again, thanks for your website. It means a lot to me.

I hope you enjoy your research, if you ever find photos from the two months your father had one of the cars, I would like to see it and publish it with your permission. I do not have much information about the chemical side of the car's development and would love to find some. Mark

Fantastic site ! I loved looking over your site and am looking forward to spending some time studying it all. My father Edward H Loeser was a Senior Research Chemical Engineer with Chrysler at there Highland Park headquarters for his entire carrier. He spoke of these cars when he was doing research on fuels required for these cars. As well as a problem keeping the platinum blades from flying out of the engine! He brought one car home from work for a two month period and I enjoyed driving it up and down the driveway - I was 14 years old. We had many other car company people in our neighborhood who would come over and take it for a drive with Dad in the passengers set and myself in the back!
Sincerely, Bob Loeser Sr.

Hi Mark,
Great website! I have just finished reading the recent book about the Turbine. I remember when it came out, reading about in Popular Science. I still remember the references to it running on anything flammable, from gas to perfume!
I worked for Chrysler from 1986 to 2001. During 3 years of that time, I was privileged to work on another "Skunk Works" project, our External-Breathing Direct-Injection 3-Cylinder 2-Stroke engine. Our group was called the "Alternative Engine Task Force" or AETF, under the direction of Mr. Joe Goulart. It was pretty exciting work (I handled most all of the electronic control system on the first 2 generations of the engine), and reading Mr. Lehto's book brought back some great memories of Chrysler...including working with Mr. Bud Mann, who is mentioned quite often in the book. We were so busy back then that I didn't know Bud had anything to do with the Turbine! I wish I had known!
Great site! Keep up the spirit!
Thanks,
Dave Canestrari

Fascinating story from an era of innovation. Never heard of the car until I read Lehto's book.

I had the opportunity to see and hear the Chrysler Turbine when I was 15 at the Chrysler-Dodge dealer on Fremont Street in Las Vegas, Nevada. I was impressed then and still impressed now! Chrysler Corporation was so far ahead at the time! A great automobile that should have been manufactured here in the United States.

This is the first test of this guest book service - I had too much spam on the old managed site.
